Dr. Sylvia Tillman received her optometry degree from The State University of New York College of Optometry, where she graduated summa cum laude and was elected to Beta Sigma Kappa, the International Optometric Honor Society. She completed her clinical training at the St. Albans Veterans Administration in Queens, NY and at the University Eye Center in Manhattan, NY. Dr. Tillman is certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease as well as glaucoma management. She was awarded an M.Sc. degree in microbiology and immunology for the medical research she performed in experimental hematology and biochemistry at Hadassah Medical School.
Dr. Tillman is fascinated by the connection between visual perception and learning. Her whole patient approach to eye care emphasizes ocular nutrition, and visual posture and workplace ergonomics. She enjoys working with young children, seniors, and every age in between. Her professional goal is to help each patient achieve their optimal, most comfortable visual functioning in all aspects of their life.
Dr. Tillman enjoys Zumba, yoga, and hiking with her little rescue pup, Daisy. She can be found helping animals in need all over California.
